In Memorium

Lewis Wiener z”l

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we share that Lewis Wiener, our beloved WHC President, died from pancreatic cancer on April 29, 2024. We feel so blessed to have known and worked with Lew, who made Washington Hebrew Congregation his Jewish home and community nearly 40 years ago when he was a law student at American University.

His caring, compassionate, leadership and friendship have forever made our Congregation stronger and our lives richer.

Zichrono livracha – May his memory be a blessing.

Donations in Lew’s memory can be made to the Lewis S. Wiener Annual Fund.
