Sunday Stuffing

One of WHC’s favorite tikkun olam traditions — Sunday Stuffing — is being reimagined for 2020.

We’ve adapted this signature event to be socially distant and pandemic-friendly so that we can continue to help those in need in our area have a happy Thanksgiving holiday.

All the Fixin’s

This year, the focus of Sunday Stuffing will be the “All the Fixin’s” project that will provide 475 bags of Thanksgiving essentials to families from Abram Simon Elementary School, N Street Village, National Capital Area YWCA, Friendship Place, and Carrie Simon House.

Bag Pickup: Starting November 9
Bag Drop-off: November 22
Drive by for socially-distant, contact-less drop off at JBSC from 11am – 1pm or at Temple from 2-4pm.

More Volunteer Opportunities

We always use Sunday Stuffing to get a jump start on our next tikkun olam opportunity — Winter Warmth. This year, for safety reasons, we cannot make blankets like we usually do. Instead, we are asking for people to purchase new blankets from any online or brick-and-mortar store of your choice and deliver them to Temple.
