Youth Groups

When kids get involved in our youth groups, they can form long-lasting friendships, grow as leaders, and develop their Jewish identity and pride.

For decades, youth groups at Washington Hebrew Congregation have been an integral part of our community. It is where our young people come to have fun, experience powerful moments, and create lasting memories that connect them to friends, WHC, and Judaism.

WHECTY

WHECTY is a great way to have fun, make friends, and gain leadership experience during your high school years!

We invite and encourage all 8th – 12th graders to become active with WHECTY and take part in the wide assortment of programs and opportunities we offer. WHECTY has never been better, and now is the time for you to be part of the amazing memories. WHECTY offers social programs, social action opportunities, religious and cultural experiences, and much more. WHECTY events are planned and implemented by the members of WHECTY Board, an inclusive leadership group made up of dozens of 9-12 graders who work together to develop their leadership skills and create positive Jewish experiences for all teens.

WHECTY and the WHECTY board is made up of students from a wide array of public and private schools throughout our area.

WHECTY is friends, memories, experiences, opportunity!

WHECTY is affiliated with NFTY, the Union for Reform Judaism’s year-round program. NFTY is the safe, home-away-from-home that inspires our teens to become their best selves and empowers them to change the world.
