Community Thanksgiving Meals

Washington Hebrew Congregation, St. Alban’s Episcopal Church, and Annunciation Catholic Church have a long history of sharing Thanksgiving meals with our neighbors.

Even in this time of social distancing, we are joining again this year to make a difference.

While we wish we could gather to prepare and host a communal Thanksgiving meal, our commitment is to keep everyone safe.

To do so, we will cook and package meals in advance, and a small group of volunteers will help distribute these prepackaged meals at Temple on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, between 10:00 am and noon.

To ensure the health of our volunteers and community members, all volunteers must register in advance for a shift. Volunteer spaces are extremely limited.

If you would like to request a meal or sign-up to volunteer on Thanksgiving morning, please contact Layne Weiss, lweiss@whctemple.org.

In addition to volunteers, your generous donations help make this project possible. A donation of $20 provides a meal for two people.
