Brotherhood

Through WHC’s Brotherhood, Jewish men of all ages can develop lasting friendships, grow spiritually and intellectually, network, and volunteer.

One of our special volunteer projects, the Interreligious Council’s annual Thanksgiving meal, makes a meaningful difference for those who might otherwise celebrate the holiday alone.

Brotherhood Softball

We look forward to the softball season every year. WHC Brotherhood fields two teams in the Suburban Maryland Synagogue Softball League: the Washington Hebrew Nationals (eight-time champions!) and the newer Washington He’Brews.

We are always looking for new players and welcome men ages 18 and over who are interested in playing doubleheaders on Sundays from 9:00 – 11:30 am. The season begins in April and runs through early July. We play on fields in Montgomery County, and everyone gets a turn at bat and in the field. Interested? Contact

BROTHERHOOD MEMBERSHIP

Washington Hebrew Congregation's Brotherhood provides Jewish men of all ages and backgrounds with opportunities to connect, both personally and professionally.  Through a series of events throughout the year, Brotherhood promotes community and friendship within Washington Hebrew Congregation and provides opportunities for networking, spiritual growth, volunteering, and more.

Your membership dues support Brotherhood programming, our WHC softball teams, allow us to assist the Temple by sponsoring special events like the Purim Carnival and Havdoglah, and provide gifts to B’nei Mitzvah and Confirmation students.

Annual membership is $50 for WHC members, $80 for non-members.
