May 12 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm Celebrate the Art of Jewish Values: The AHAVA Project Temple 3935 Macomb St. NW, Washington, DC, United States Award-winning artist and LGBTQ+ activist, Lisa Marie Thalhammer — whose famous LOVE mural is the most photographed site in D.C. — will guide us in creating a large-scale work that demonstrates love and pride for our LGBTQ+ youth. The collective painting session will be followed by a writing exercise to inspire poetry and words of affirmation to etch into the work. The 5x5-foot painting will be displayed at Temple throughout June and beyond, as part of WHC’s permanent collection.
