What is a Tu Bishvat Seder? This often-overlooked holiday gives us the opportunity to celebrate the birthday of the trees and our natural world a little more up close and personal! Featuring an array of foods harvested directly from the earth, this tradition dates back to the 16th-century Kabbalists. Modeled after the Passover Seder and its four cups of wine, it celebrates the Divine in nature.
Please join us at our very own Cantor Hamstra’s house in Potomac as we engage with Judaism, the natural world, and our community through an LGBTQ+ lens.
Dinner will be served, and we’re making it another optional potluck, so feel free to bring your favorite (vegetarian) side dish to share! We’ll take care of dessert this time, so focus on the savory! Consider choosing something that includes your favorite of-the-earth ingredient or one that has special meaning to you.
There will be a few cars leaving from DC to Potomac, so we will do the best we can to make carpooling an option for anyone who needs it! Just reach out to Rick and Allie at email@example.com to inquire (or to offer to be a driver).
