Announcing the April Journal Cover Contest

piece of matzah on top of Haggadah

For our last two holiday issues of the Journal (Hanukkah & Purim), we’ve featured cover art created by WHC students. We have another big holiday coming soon in Passover, and this time we want to open the competition up to adults (18+). The only prompt we have is — what does Passover mean to you?

Take a photo, paint a picture, create a sculpture — the choice is yours, but an image of your work should fit on an 8.5×11” page (think portrait not landscape). All art must be original, and since we’re still in the early days of artificial intelligence (AI) for art, feeding a prompt into an image generator is not allowed.

Submissions must be sent to communications@whctemple.org or dropped off at Temple by 5:00 pm, Monday, March 6. Please include your name (as you’d like it to read on the cover), and where you live (don’t worry, we won’t ask for your age).

Submissions will be judged anonymously by a three-member panel, and all submissions will be recognized in the April Journal and/or on the WHC Blog.

Put your creative caps on and go for it!
