Do you look toward the 2024 election and wonder how you will maintain relationships with family members, co-workers, friends, and neighbors? Join our own Rabbi Rachel Schmelkin, who is nationally recognized for her work in depolarization and crossing divides, in partnership with the One America Movement, for a deep dive into toxic polarization.

In this six-week course, you will study Jewish texts about polarization. You will learn some of the science of toxic polarization and discover the divides in our country, both real and perceived. You will gain skills to help you navigate division in your family and community and grow your ability to manage your own triggers and listen to others, especially those with whom you disagree. The course’s final session will be a workshop on how to have compassionate, healthy conversations on divisive topics.
