Merelyn Chalmers, Natanya Eskin, and Lisa Goldberg (aka the Monday Morning Cooking Club)

Tuesday February 8, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

After three best-selling cookbooks, the irrepressible Monday Morning Cooking Club has a stunningly delicious new cookbook out – Now for Something Sweet.  The authors, Merelyn Chalmers, Natanya Eskin, and Lisa Goldberg will join us via Zoom from the land “down under” to give us a closer look at this collection of sweet heirloom recipes on Tuesday, February 8 at 7:00 pm.

Ranging from the straightforward to the more elaborate, these recipes are always impressive and often show-stopping. From the simple passionfruit-iced coconut slab cake to a Russian yeasted kulich which is worth the day it takes to make, or quick-bake chocolate-sandwiched biscuits, this book has it all. Step-by-step ‘how to’ guides for a few essential techniques provide a helping hand to those who need it, and the more complex recipes offer a challenge for those who crave it. Alongside the recipes, you’ll find heart-warming and poignant stories of family, friendship, community, and survival. There’s something sweet and delicious in this book for everyone!

This program is free and open to everyone. It will take place on Zoom and RSVP is required to obtain the Zoom link.

About the Authors:

The Monday Morning Cooking Club was formed by women in the close-knit Jewish community of Sydney Australia with one mission — to uncover, to persistently test and tweak, and to preserve all the many recipes entrusted to us over our years by family, friends, and the greater Jewish community.

Their cookbooks over the years have helped thousands master everything from challah with egg to chicken soup with matzo balls, Sephardi chicken curry, and more!

Click here to purchase this book through WHC’s Mitzvah Mall.

Presented in partnership with the Jewish Book Council.
