Friday Night Service Featuring Refugee Metro Minyan (6:30 pm)

During 2239’s Shot of Torah, a guest speaker from HIAS will discuss the global refugee crisis in a Jewish context and how we, as individuals and as a community can help. This Shabbat offers a tangible way to reaffirm our support for the more than 100 million refugees and asylum seekers around the world.

6:30 pm — Snack, Sip, & Schmooze (S3)

SNACK — Hot appetizers, cheese, crackers, and fruit! Perfect for families looking to feed their kids before the service. Gluten-free and vegan options will be available. This week’s menu:

  • Sweet Pea Soup – Vegetarian and Gluten-Free (might be vegan, tbd)
  • Moroccan Chicken Casserole – Gluten-Free
  • Mini Artichoke Cakes – Vegan & Gluten-Free
  • Mini Mac and Cheese – Vegetarian

SIP — Full bar, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available.

SCHMOOZE — This half-hour is a great time to connect with the people around you! And kids will also be engaged with giant Connect 4 and Jenga, cornhole games, a coloring table, and other arts & crafts activities.

6:30 pm — 2239’s Metro Minyan Shot of Torah & Congregational Shot of Torah

7:00 pm — Service

8:30 pm — Congregational Oneg

8:30 pm — 2239 Dinner  REGISTER
