Sunday, January 30 at 10:30 am ON ZOOM!

Did you know that there was a group of German-Jewish commandos who fought in Britain’s most secretive special-forces unit during World War II? Probably not because, until now, the story has gone untold.

Thankfully, author Leah Garrett spent years researching this almost-forgotten piece of history and made it the centerpiece of her new book X Troop: The Secret Jewish Commandos of World War II.  She will join us ON ZOOM on Sunday, January 30 to talk more about the book and the process that went into writing and researching it.

Drawing on extensive original research, including interviews with the last surviving members, Garrett follows this unique band of brothers from Germany to England and back again, with stops at British internment camps, the beaches of Normandy, the battlefields of Italy and Holland, and the hellscape of Terezin concentration camp—the scene of one of the most dramatic, untold rescues of the war. For the first time, X Troop tells the astonishing story of these secret shock troops and their devastating blows against the Nazis.

This program is free and open to everyone, but RSVP is required.
