Wise Aging

Join us for a groundbreaking program that will guide you through how to approach the social, emotional, and spiritual challenges that arise as we age.

Developed with the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, Wise Aging will help you make the changes you need to experience a deeper sense of well-being. Through mindful practices and Jewish texts, we'll help guide you through the journey of aging.

You'll have the opportunity to take part in one of our Wise Aging Groups – a community of up to 12 people in their 50s, 60s, and 70s who will join you in learning the transformative Jewish wisdom that will aid you in navigating the challenges and opportunities of aging. Groups will be led by a faculty of lay-led facilitators have been trained by the Institute for Jewish Spirituality and have extensive knowledge of Jewish spirituality and medicine. Together, we'll explore techniques for cultivating healthy relationships, develop ways to embrace forgiveness, and craft a legacy of fellowship.

This program costs $50 for WHC members; $75 for non-members.

WHC's Wise Aging program for Spring/Summer 2020 has been postponed due to WHC's closure due to COVID-19. We hope to run this program in the Fall. Please check back soon for more information.

What are our participants saying?

“The program enabled a small group at somewhat various stages in life to reflect on common issues, thoughts, feelings and to express them verbally without judgment. For me, the course gave insight into my feelings, plus taught tools to face past, current, and future anxieties. The group gave power for such achievement.”

“I greatly appreciated how open and thoughtful were group members. I was often emotionally moved by what others shared.”

“The two hours went quickly. The facilitators were knowledgeable, compassionate, and understanding.”
