Miryam Buchler joined Washington Hebrew Congregation in 2019 as the Director of the Edlavitch-Tyser Early Childhood Center. She had previously served as the director, assistant director and an educator at the Mandel JCC of the Palm Beaches Miryam has also worked in early intervention and provided applied behavior analysis therapy for children with autism and other developmental challenges.

Miryam was born and raised in Morocco and moved to the United States after high school. In addition to earning a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education and an associate’s degree in Jewish Studies from Yeshiva University, Miryam has a master’s degree in special education from Touro College and pursued a board certificate in behavior analysis. She was selected as one of 20 educators to be part of the Sheva Covenant Director Institute, a prestigious fellowship led by the JCC Association that aims to shape future leaders in the field of early childhood Jewish education.

Miryam and her husband, Nir, have two daughters, Emma and Abigail.
