Steven Jacober

Steven Jacober served as Washington Hebrew Congregation as Executive Director from 2007-2021. He brought extensive experience in leading both nonprofit organizations and for-profit companies to his oversight of the Temple’s operations.

Before assuming this position at the Congregation, Steve spent 12 years as president of the School, Home, and Office Products Association, based in Dayton, Ohio. He previously served as president of Macfadden Trade Publishing, LLC, and worked as a publisher, editor, and research director at various stages in his tenure. His professional experience also includes positions at several New York City-based advertising agencies.

Steve is a graduate of Providence College and earned graduate degrees in Hebrew Bible from Columbia University. He and his wife, Beth, have four adult children and two beloved grandchildren.
