Leanne Bortner

Leanne has more than 20 years of experience practicing as a white-collar criminal defense attorney, most recently with Kobre & Kim. Leanne earned her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000 and her J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2004.

Leanne has been a member of WHC since 2004. Both of her children recently celebrated their b’nei mitzvah at WHC and her parents and sister’s family joined as members when they moved to the D.C. area.

Leanne is actively involved in the Washington Jewish community and serves on the WHC Israel Committee as well as the Federation’s Israel Engagement Committee. Leanne also currently serves as Parent Chair of the Landon School Annual Fund, helping raise close to $2 million, and has co-chaired the Landon Azalea Bash and Auction for two years.
