Ellen is thrilled to have been recently installed as the President of Women of Washington Hebrew Congregation, where
before assuming her current role, she served four years as Co-VP for Programming and thereafter as Co-VP for Membership.
She and her husband have been members of the Congregation for 35 years. Both of their children celebrated their Bar Mitzvah at Temple, and their oldest was married in a beautiful ceremony in the Small Chapel.
Ellen received her undergraduate degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Masters degree in Social Work from Columbia University. During her retirement, Ellen has enjoyed various creative activities, including painting, interior design and event planning for several community organizations and McLean School’s gala fundraisers. She is looking forward to working with her fellow board members.
