Deborah Berman

Deborah and her husband Bruce have been members of WHC since 1988. Deborah is chair of the Arts and Culture Committee and a member of the Temple’s Philanthropy Committee. After graduating from Barnard College, Deborah pursued graduate studies in art history.

For the past 22 years she has served as Senior Director of Development and Alumni Affairs at David Geffen School of Drama at Yale, commuting from her home in Chevy Chase. Deborah is also an award-winning collage artist whose work has been shown locally, at Yale, and nationally.

Her grandson Lane had his bar mitzvah at WHC last year, following in the footsteps of his mother Joanna and uncle Eli.
