Alexis Channin joined Washington Hebrew Congregation in 2025 as the Director of Development. She brings experience in philanthropy, having previously served as Director of Development at Endaoment — a donor-advised fund designed for the next generation of donors. Her background also includes roles within the Jewish Federation and Community Foundation networks.

Driven by a passion for meaningful connection and community impact, Alexis thrives on helping donors turn their philanthropic visions into lasting change. She’s excited to translate this into the WHC community.

Alexis is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and Jewish Communal Service through a dual program at the University of Pennsylvania and Gratz College. Originally from the Chicago suburbs, she now calls the DMV home and is a new resident of Bethesda, MD with her husband, Josh.
