Miriam Feffer joined Washington Hebrew Congregation as Director of Development in 2013. With advancement experience in both the secular and Jewish worlds, Miriam leads the Congregation's efforts to build a more sustainable financial future. Her professional experience includes positions as development director at the Campaign for America's Future, director of institutional advancement at Rachel's Network, and communications manager at the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School. She also conducted market research at a boutique Chicago firm before relocating to the Washington, D.C. area. She pursued a doctorate in anthropology at the University of Chicago, with a focus on Jewish youth, language, and gender, and earned a bachelor's degree in American studies and anthropology from Brandeis University. Miriam and her husband are the parents of one energetic daughter.
