Brian Friedman

Brian has been a member of Washington Hebrew Congregation for the past several years. Originally from suburban Detroit, Brian came to Washington as a founder of a successful internet company and holds B.S., M.A., and M.B.A. degrees from the Kogod School at The American University. Brian is the founder of two firms: Friedman Capital, an investment management company, and Foxhall Partners, a commercial real estate development firm. Previously, Brian was Vice President and the Chief Investment Officer at First Management Group (FMG), a Maryland-based Pension fund advisory and real estate asset management, development and private equity firm. Upon graduation from the Kogod School MBA program, he was a manager at KPMG within its Audit and Risk Advisory department.

Over the past decade, Brian has been involved in many charitable and worthwhile community efforts including, the Adams Morgan Youth Leadership Academy, an organization committed to fostering empowered and a sustainable future for D.C. youth, for which Brian sits on the Board. He also volunteers with Iona Senior Services and is active on WHC’s Minds Matter Committee. Brian, his wife, Robin Miller Friedman, and their children, Lawson and Stella, live in the Wesley Heights neighborhood in Washington, D.C.
