Mark Director has been an active member of Washington Hebrew Congregation for many years, a member of the Board of Directors since 2010, and General Counsel and a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors since 2012. He is involved in a wide range of Temple activities, is a past Chair of the Adult Education Committee and has served as a member of prior Rabbinic Search Committees. He is currently a member of the Worship & Music, Professional Development, and Budget & Finance Committees. Mark also works with and supports a number of local and national charitable organizations, including Everybody Wins! DC (an organization that promotes children’s literacy), where he has been a Board member since 2010 and has served as Chairman since 2015.

Mark is a Senior Corporate Partner at the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he advises public companies and private equity sponsors on mergers and acquisitions and a range of other corporate, transactional, securities, and governance matters. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Harvard College and his Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. He writes, speaks, and teaches regularly on a wide range of corporate and securities law subjects. He and his wife, Shari, live in Potomac, Maryland and have two daughters, Brittani and Chelsea.
