Washington Hebrew Congregation is hosting a virtual panel discussion to support federal employees impacted by recent layoffs and those at risk of losing their jobs. Whether you are figuring out your next career move, looking for emotional support, or just hoping to connect with others going through the same thing, we are here for you.
The July 28 panel will feature executive recruitment experts Sherry Ettleson and Mike Bruni, and licensed psychotherapist Erica Berger, MSW, who will share a brief presentation on coping with career transitions. As always, our goal is to connect you with guidance, encouragement, and practical tools that can help you move forward at your own pace and in your own way.
Michael Bruni will focus on how each professional can take stock of what they have already done to then repackage that for other career paths, how AI has changed the job search, while also putting it into perspective as most hiring comes through a variety methods.
Sherry Ettleson will share how to think of the job search as a project with networking as the umbrella, and concrete steps to do this.
Erica Berger, MSW will address how to manage change.
Please register by July 27. A Zoom link will be provided upon registration.
Affected WHC members will also gather in person following Shabbat@WHC services on Friday, July 18 and Friday, August 15. Learn more and register for those events here.
