  • This event has passed.

This is a different event from the pastoral get-together on Friday night after services, and is intended to provide more practical and how-to advice.

Washington Hebrew Congregation is hosting a virtual panel discussion to support federal employees impacted by recent layoffs and those at risk of losing their jobs.  Whether you are figuring out your next career move, looking for emotional support, or just hoping to connect with others going through the same thing, we are here for you.

This panel will include Erica Berger and Judith Klavans, Ph.D., experts in mental health and career transitions. Topics will include;

  • The psychological impact of what is happening, ways to cope, and how to access resources
  • Job search strategies for transitioning out of the federal sector: how to rebrand yourself for the job market and put that identity into words
  • Available local resources and ways to build community during this time

Our goal is to connect you with guidance, encouragement, and practical tools that can help you move forward at your own pace and in your own way.

Please register by Monday, June 16. Zoom link to be provided upon registration.
