We invite you to end your week and welcome Shabbat with us! Tonight’s theme, “Founding Fathers of American Synagogue Music,” honors America’s 250th birthday.

The service will feature composers who helped shape American Reform Synagogue music: Max Helfman, Israel Goldfarb, A.W. Binder, Moshe Rothblum, Isadore Freed, Max Janowski, Julius Chajes, and Julius Freudenthal. Their melodies are woven into our childhoods, and we’re so honored to welcome them in our celebration of America and the music that brings Shabbat to life.

We will also honor the service to the community of Cantor Suzanne Leventhal, who is leaving Washington Hebrew Congregation at the end of June.

At 6:00 pm and again after the service: Have something to eat (to tide you over or as your dinner), a drink (we offer a full bar, plus non-alcoholic options), and connect with your community.

Kids are always welcome, and they’ll be able to eat before (and after) the service, play Connect 4, or create at a coloring table.
