Event Series: Shabbat@WHC

Tonight we recognize Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month, honoring and welcoming people of all abilities to join us in prayer and community.

ASL interpreters will be on-site during the service, and closed captions are available for the livestream.

What is Jewish Disability Awareness, Acceptance, and Inclusion Month?

We invite you to end your week and welcome Shabbat with us!

At 6:00 pm and again after the service: Have something to eat (to tide you over or as your dinner), a drink (we offer a full bar, plus non-alcoholic options), and connect with your community.

Kids are always welcome, and they’ll be able to eat before (and after) the service, play Connect 4, or create at a coloring table.

6:30 pm – Our Shabbat service begins. Our speaker tonight is Brianne Burger, one of the deaf members of our community. We will also be offering birthday blessings, so if you have a February birthday and would like to be acknowledged, please fill out this form. BIRTHDAY BLESSINGS

After the service – Stay for dessert, or more food and drinks!

Special thanks to our musicians who add so much to the service. We wouldn’t have them without the support of the Irene & Abe Pollin Music Program Initiative.

This week’s featured menu items include:
(GF – Gluten-free, V – Vegetarian, VG – Vegan)

  • Grilled Chicken (GF)
  • Rice & Chickpeas (GF, VG)

If you would like to sponsor a portion of a future Shabbat@WHC to celebrate a milestone or honor a memory, please contact Director of Development Alexis Channin at achannin@whctemple.org.
