Home > Events > Connect > Holding Both: A Jewish LGBTQ+ Potluck & Conversation
Join us for an evening of shared food, connection, and honest conversation with Rabbi Eliana Fischel and fellow Jewish LGBTQ community members at a home in Alexandria’s Del Ray neighborhood.
For many of us, navigating life as both Jewish and queer has become increasingly complicated since October 7, 2023, and recent events have brought new challenges, questions, and feelings of isolation. This gathering is an opportunity to be in community with others who understand the complexity of holding these identities at the same time.
Whether you’ve felt caught between communities, struggled to find spaces where your whole self is welcome, or are simply looking to connect with other Jewish LGBTQ people, you are invited to join us for a vegetarian potluck dinner and stay for conversation.
Come as you are, bring a dish to share*, and help us create a space grounded in respect, compassion, and community.
