In a time when rights are diminishing, safety nets for vulnerable communities are being dismantled, and healthcare research is under siege, the need for collective action is more urgent than ever. People of faith are called to act – not just to pray reflexively, but to live their prayers through action. Throughout history, faith-based traditions have played a central role in movements for justice, equity, and peace. In the face of injustice today, we must again rise as a collective voice for humanity. The Caucus is committed to assisting faith communities in understanding the powerful and essential role that faith plays in partnering with health agencies and others to achieve healthcare justice.
The Interfaith Celebration, Award Reception, and Call to Action aims to mobilize leaders and members of all faith traditions in the Washington area to respond to the urgent needs of our society with unity, moral courage, and concrete steps. The Celebration includes diverse faith communities and faith organizations in the Washington, DC area by inviting a range of faith and spiritual communities, interfaith organizations, cultures, and traditions to participate.
Cantor Susan Bortnick is scheduled to present an opening prayer/song.
This event is Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 6-8:30 pm in the Archives Room at the Marriott Marquis Hotel, 901 Massachusetts Ave., Washington, DC. This event is free and open to the public.
