Home > Events > Connect > LGBTQ+ > Celebrate the Art of Jewish Values: The AHAVA Project
Join us May 12, 6-9 pm at Temple, for a night of solidarity and love. Award-winning artist and LGBTQ+ activist, Lisa Marie Thalhammer — whose famous LOVE mural is the most photographed site in D.C. — will guide us in creating a large-scale work that demonstrates love and pride for our LGBTQ+ youth.
The collective painting session will be followed by a writing exercise to inspire poetry and words of affirmation to etch into the work. The 5×5-foot painting will be displayed at Temple throughout June and beyond, as part of WHC’s permanent collection.
Don’t miss this critical moment to support WHC’s LGBTQ+ youth and demonstrate your Jewish values through art and AHAVA. RSVP here to join us! Registration is $15 and includes dinner.
