PLUS Program

dsc_0245.jpg

The PLUS Program is designed for families who desire the flexibility and convenience of a day care schedule throughout the school year.

Children who are of the same age in Core and PLUS are together in the mornings and participate in the same “core” curriculum experiences.

Lunchtime

At noon, students enrolled in a Mid-Year Twos, Twos, or Threes PLUS Program will join the community of others who are also staying for a full day. At first, this will be a mixed-age group until we have enough children for multiple classrooms. The PLUS program will have the same teachers every day – teachers who are already part of the wonderful team of educators at the E-T ECC.

Our PLUS students each lunch together and have a read/rest/relax time until 2:00 pm. Pre-K children enrolled in PLUS stay with their regular morning class until their school day ends at 2:15 pm. Pre-K students do not have a scheduled rest period, but they may take some time to read/rest/relax if they need a little break.

Afternoon

In the afternoon, we employ the inquiry-based learning approach that is the foundation of our Core program. Your child will explore in the STEAM room, have increased study of science and technology, play outside on our playgrounds and inside in our gross-motor play room, have an afternoon snack, and have the option of enrolling in an afternoon Movers & Shakers activity.

PLUS may be open additional days during the school year when the Core program is closed.
