Before and After

Whether it's on a regular basis or just a day here and there, we offer several ways to extend your child's school day to meet your family's needs. Unless otherwise indicated, programs are open to all students in Mid-Year Twos through Pre-K.

Children who are of the same age in Core and Extended Day are together in the mornings and participate in the same “core” curriculum experiences.

Learn more about our Full-Day and Part-Day options:

Part-Day Options:

Breakfast Club (All Students):
Mondays - Fridays, 7:30 - 9:00 am
Join us in the E-T ECC kitchen for a bowl of cereal and playtime with friends. When Breakfast Club ends, children join our Early Bird Drop Off friends.

Early Bird Drop-Off (All Students):
Mondays - Fridays, 8:30 - 9:00 am
For families who need to begin their day a little earlier, we offer Early Bird Drop Off. Children gather to play and create with their friends and are walked to their classrooms by teachers when the school day begins.

Lunch Bunch (MY2, 2's, 3's):
Mondays - Fridays, 12:00 - 1:00 pm
Two- and three-year old children are invited to stay for lunch and enjoy social time with their friends.

3's and developmentally ready 2's: Mondays - Fridays, 1:00 - 2:15 pm
Pre-K: Mondays - Fridays, 2:15 - 3:30 pm

We invite our three-year-old and developmentally ready two-year-old students to stay after school and participate in special classes following Lunch Bunch from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. We invite our Pre-K students to stay after school and participate in special classes from 2:15 to 3:30 p.m.  Each semester, the curriculum changes but activities usually include a mix of the following offerings: cooking, dance, drama, science, woodworking and messy art.

Full-Day Option:

PLUS Program (All Students):
Up to five days/week; 7:30 am - 6:00 pm, 9:00 am - 3:30 pm, or 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Children enrolled in PLUS are part of the same classroom community as Core Program students of the same age. When the Core day ends, students enrolled in the PLUS Program go to Lunch Bunch (2’s and 3’s) and then to their PLUS classrooms, unless they are registered for Enrichment.

The PLUS Program has coordinators who are responsible for overseeing the before- and after-care programs. Each PLUS age group has a designated Lead Teacher who communicates regularly with parents.  PLUS teachers must meet the same qualifications as Core teachers. PLUS adheres to the same staffing ratios as are followed during Core, including the requirement that two teachers supervise groups of children at all times.

The PLUS afternoon includes nap/rest time for those who need it and additional snack and playground time for all children. Much like our Enrichment program, children enrolled in PLUS will have added opportunities to cook, create, explore, and engage in a variety of exciting sensory experiences. PLUS teachers follow the same pedagogical practices implemented in our Core classes.
