Tot Shabbat at Temple

Our clergy make going to Friday night services a fun, fulfilling event for families with young children (or grandchildren). We begin with an engaging, interactive Tot Shabbat service, which lasts about a half hour and teaches Jewish prayers, traditions, and rituals through songs, stories, and art projects.

A family-style and family-friendly Shabbat dinner follows our service. It is a lovely way to enhance the feeling of community and get to know new friends.  Co-sponsored by the Edlavitch-Tyser ECC Parents Committee and Washington Hebrew Congregation, there is no charge for the dinner, but we do ask that you pre-register so we can plan appropriately.

At this Tot Shabbat, you can also help support the mothers and their children who call Carrie Simon House home. Please consider donating household items (e.g. paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, laundry detergent, twin-sized sheets, and towels) and gift cards to department stores and restaurants. You can bring items with you to the Tot Shabbat. Thank you!
