WHC Academy and Amram Scholar Series Present: Wendy Sherman

Wendy R. Sherman is best known as the United States’ lead negotiator on the multilateral 2015 Iran nuclear deal, but she has had a long and distinguished career as a diplomat since she joined the State Department in 1993. By the end of the Clinton administration, she was a key aide to Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. She was named special advisor to President Clinton and policy coordinator on North Korea, managing, among other special assignments, negotiations with Pyongyang on nuclear nonproliferation.

Her recently published book, Not for the Faint of Hearttakes you inside the world of international diplomacy and into the mind of a most effective negotiator — who was often the only woman in the room. Ms. Sherman shows why good work in her field is so hard to do, and how we can learn to apply core skills of diplomacy to the challenges in our own lives.

RSVP required: This lecture, part of our "Academy Goes Conversational Series," will be followed by a casual dinner with facilitated dialogue at each table and a Q&A with Ms. Sherman.
Online registration for this event has now closed but we will be accepting registrations at the door on Monday, December 17.
Presented in partnership with the Jewish Book Council.
