District Shabbat

District Shabbat combines the high energy of Washington and the deep spirituality of Shabbat to create this downtown Shabbat experience for all ages. Dive into the week’s Torah portion with Washington Hebrew’s clergy over drinks and hot hors-d'oeuvres. Lift your voice in prayer with internationally celebrated musicians Dan Nichols and Alan Goodis and join us for Shabbat dinner immediately following the service.

5:30 pm - District Shabbat for Tots -- a service perfect for families with young kids followed by dinner (free)

6:15 pm - Shot of Torah - Torah discussion with our clergy over snacks and hors-d'oeuvres (free)

7:00 pm - Shabbat Services featuring Dan Nichols and Alan Goodis. (free)

Two dinner options are available following services:

Community Shabbat Dinner is an amazing catered dinner held right at St. Augustine's. The cost is $18 per person.

The Rabbi's Table offers an opportunity to dine with a small group and one of WHC's rabbis at one of Washington’s most exciting restaurants. The prix fixe dinner costs $50 per person, and seating is limited to the first 20 people who register.
