Sunday Stuffing

Give thanks this holiday season by taking a few hours for some tikkun olam. We will pack Thanksgiving holiday meal baskets, package thousands of meals with the WHC Hunger Project, and prepare casseroles for local shelters and agencies.

Volunteer Activities

We have many wonderful projects for you to participate in during Sunday Stuffing:

All the Fixin's: Help us fill grocery bags with "all the fixin's" for a full dinner for families from the Abram Simon Elementary School and N Street Village. All ages are welcome.

Blanket Making: Help us bring warmth on these cold winter nights by making blankets for the men and women supported by Friendship Place, a non-profit dedicated to developing solutions to homelessness. All ages are welcome.

Casserole Making: Join us to prepare casseroles to donate to Nourish Now, a non-profit dedicated to eradicating hunger in Montgomery county. All ages are welcome.

WHC Hunger Project: Join the EmptyNesters to help us assemble meals for the hungry, which will be distributed throughout the Washington, D.C. area. Appropriate for ages 8+. This project has reached capacity.

Schlepper Team: Help us make, pack, and move boxes and bags of goods as they are made.
