Sustaining Membership

Choosing to become a Sustaining Member is both an act of tzedakah and a reflection of faith in our shared Jewish future.

When you choose to become a Sustaining Member, your annual support will help preserve the programs, education, worship, life cycle services, and pastoral care upon which our community is built. Your Sustaining Membership will also ensure that we can respond generously to hundreds of congregants who may worry about not being able to afford their Temple membership due to current economic hardship.

Over time, our Sustaining Members will provide WHC with financial stability that reduces barriers to membership and provides the Temple with a dependable base of annual revenue that will allow us to welcome all members, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Instead of paying traditional Fair Share dues each year, when you become a Sustaining Member, you commit to an amount that is within the range of your Sustaining Membership category:

Guardian:  $7,500 - $9,999
Founder:  $10,000 - $17,999
Benefactor:  $18,000 - $24,999
Sustainer:  $25,000+

All Sustaining Members will receive recognition and certain special benefits throughout the year. We ask you, our congregation’s leaders, to increase your support to the Temple to a “Sustaining Membership” level. We need you now more than ever.

A group of our current and past leaders have already committed to becoming Sustaining Members, and we hope you will join them. If you have any comments or questions, feel free to reach out to Lindsay Feldman, Assistant Executive Director, at Thank you for choosing to sustain our beloved congregation.
