Promoting Interfaith Understanding & Community Service

Members of the Interreligious Affairs Committee participate on behalf of WHC in the Interreligious Council of Northwest DC. The Council in turn brings together members of WHC, St. Albans Episcopal Church, and Church of the Annunciation (Roman Catholic) to promote interfaith understanding and community service. The Council meets to explore a wide range of theological issues from the unique perspectives of the three faiths. The Council also sponsors the annual Kristallnacht commemoration, an annual communitywide Thanksgiving dinner, and other special interfaith programs open to members of the three congregations and the public at large.
