Members of the Interfaith Committee participate on behalf of WHC in the Inter-religious Council of Northwest DC. The Council in turn brings together members of WHC, St. Albans Episcopal Church, and Church of the Annunciation (Roman Catholic) to promote interfaith understanding and community service. The Council meets monthly to explore a wide range of theological issues from the unique perspectives of the three faiths. The Council also sponsors the annual Kristallnacht commemoration, an annual community-wide Thanksgiving dinner, and interfaith Habitat for Humanity building projects. This year, the Council served as a cosponsor for the first 9/11 Unity Walk.
