Read with WHC

WHC has several active book groups to engage the minds of bibliophiles at all ages and stages of their lives. Discussions are led by clergy, lay leaders, congregants, and sometimes, the authors themselves!

WHC Books

WHC Books is a lively and stimulating group that meets four times a year in the evenings at Temple to discuss Jewish-themed books.

Please join us! Each of the books selected for our discussions can be borrowed from the WHC Library.

Sisterhood Literary Group

Not just for women, this active and enthusiastic daytime book group is coordinated by WHC’s Sisterhood and is open to the entire Temple community.

Each year we resad a variety of fiction and nonfiction books and engage in quarterly discussions facilitated by congregants, clergy, and community members with a significant connection to the books.

2239's Next Page

Read, reflect, discuss, and grow with thought-provoking Jewish books that inform and inspire. Young adults in your 20s and 30s, join us to take a "deeper look through Jewish books."

Judaism is more than what you learned in Sunday school. Take the next step in your Jewish journey with 2239’s reading initiative, NextPage. We introduce a new book quarterly and enable members to purchase it for $5 (hard copy or Kindle version). The discussion begins online through our Facebook group, then we get together in person to nosh, schmooze, and discuss the thoughts provoked by the pages.
