Volunteer in WHC's Libraries; Join WHC's Book Group

Friends of the Library are bibliophiles and volunteers who provide invaluable support to one of the most outstanding Judaica collections in the Washington area. Volunteers assist in the libraries at Temple and JBSC by performing a variety of tasks. As a Friend of the Library, you are encouraged to borrow books from the collection, attend library programs, and make donations to the library. WHC's libraries have received an Advanced Level Certificate of Accreditation from the Association of Jewish Libraries.

WHC Books is a lively and stimulating book group which meets four times a year to discuss Jewish-themed books. The reading list for 2011-2012 is provided below, and we invite you to join us.

Jewish Book Month Shabbat is an annual Friday night program for all congregants that includes a Shabbat service, a traditional Friday night dinner, and a presentation from a Jewish author. Save the date for this year's Jewish Book Month Shabbat — Friday, December 2, 2011.
