Through the TOV Fund’s ARK (Acts of Religious Kindness) initiative, Jewish young professionals engage in high-impact, life-changing social action projects, both locally and outside our region.
Led by Rabbi Aaron Miller, ARK volunteers lend their energy and effort to restoring communities such as the tornado-ravaged Pratt City, Alabama in 2010 or the ongoing effort to renew the Lower 9th Ward of New Orleans in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. Closer to home, ARK partners with organizations in the D.C. metro area on one-day projects including home repair and feeding the homeless. Participants report forging life-long friendships, strengthening connections to their Jewish values, and making a measurable impact on communities in need.
