As many candles together shed more light than one alone,
so do many members of Washington Hebrew Congregation joined in one purpose.

The Rabbis of old taught that the construction of the Temple was not completed until everyone had contributed to the effort. Thus, the Holy Temple, the place where our people and God met, was dependent upon the good will and generosity of each and every one of our ancestors.

The success of this campaign benefits each one of us as every member makes use of this, our spiritual home, which touches every aspect of our lives, from worship and educational programs to community action and social gatherings. This campaign provides renewed and expanded facilities, at both our Macomb Street home and the Julia Bindeman Suburban Center, that will best enable the congregation to meet its current and future needs.

Our plans are ambitious and, with your help, they are attainable. We have already received many generous pledges and we are very near to our fundraising goal.

We need the support of every member family. Your participation, in concert with the selfless commitment of our early donors, will light the way to a bright future for Washington Hebrew Congregation.
