Committees are the working arm of the Congregation. They serve as the means through which members can work together in carrying out the aims and ideals of the Temple. Abram Simon School   Providing Support and Aid for a School in Need

Caring Committee   Dedicated to reaching out to our

Carrie Simon House   Providing a home for families in need
     
Community Issues   A committee dedicated to social action
and interfaith issues
     
Fistful of Shekels   For members who are interested in supporting Israel through buying stock in Israeli companies
     
Friends of the Library   Providing invaluable support to one of the most outstanding Judaica collections in the Washington area
     
Interfaith   Promoting interfaith understanding
and community service
     
Israel & World Jewry   A committee in support of Israel
and Eastern Europe
     
Kol Rinah   Washington Hebrew Congregations Volunteer Choir
     
Mitzvah Day   Each Mitzvah Day, well over 1,000 congregants participate in over 50 community service projects.
     
Outreach   Providing educational & social programs to
interfaith couples and their families
     
SCRIP   Provides critical funds to young mothers and
their Babies at the Carrie Simon House
     
Worship & Music   A committee enhancing WHC's services,
life-cycle events & musical programming
