Member to Member: Reaching out to our Temple Community

WHC’s Caring Committee is dedicated to reaching out to our Temple community, especially during times of sickness or special need. We coordinate rides to Temple events, arrange to phone or visit those who are temporarily or permanently homebound, drop off meals, and lend a hand to members who need help with shopping or transportation to medical appointments. We also extend our hand to congregants celebrating life cycle events and to the community at large. The Caring Committee is a place where we hope all Temple members can comfortably turn when they need a helping hand for any reason.

Communicate with us.  If you or another Temple member you know needs some extra support or is celebrating a special event, please let us know by using the contact information provided on the left-hand side of this page. Help us make sure we don’t miss a member of our Temple community who could use an outstretched hand.

Become part of our volunteer network.  As a member of our volunteer network, you’ll be on the list of people notified when help is needed. Then, you can determine if you’re able to assist in that situation. Add your name to the network list by using the contact information provided on the left-hand side of this page.
