MLK Shabbat

Led by all clergy.

Join us as we celebrate the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a Shabbat service at Temple.

We will host our partner churches and mosques for dinner at 5:30 pm followed by a special 7:00 pm Shabbat service featuring Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II. President of the North Carolina NAACP since 2006, Rev. Dr. Barber was the architect of the Forward Together Moral Movement, which gained national attention with its protests at the North Carolina General Assembly in 2013. He was a keynote speaker at the 2016 Democratic National Convention and is regularly featured on MSNBC and CNN and in The New York Times and The Washington Post.

Dinner costs $20 per person. As is our tradition, WHC hosts our interfaith community at this Shabbat dinner. Sponsorship is $200 per table. If you would like to sponsor one or more tables for our guests, please add this item when you register.

Our MLK Shabbat dinner is sold out, but there is plenty of space to join us at our interfaith service with Dr. Rev. William J. Barber II. Learn more at whctemple.org/MLKWeekend.

This service will be streamed.
