Cast Your Vote in the 2015 World Zionist Organization Elections

Polls are open now through Thursday, April 30 in the 2015 World Zionist Congress (WZC) elections, and you have the opportunity to make your voice as a Reform Jew heard by voting for the Association of Reform Zionists of America (ARZA) slate of delegates (which includes Rabbi Susan Shankman).

Israel is at a crossroads, and, as Reform Jews, we are committed to ensuring that its future is one of equality, pluralism, and peace. By casting your vote for the ARZA – Representing Reform Judaism slate, you will help determine U.S. Jewish representation to the World Zionist Congress, the highest legislative body of the World Zionist Organization (WZO).

The WZO provides a forum for the world’s Jews to come together and deliberate on issues affecting Diaspora Jews and Israel. The American Zionist Movement has 145 seats in the WZC, and having representation in this legislative body is one of the strongest settings our movement has for promoting our values of justice and equality in Israel.

This year, ARZA-Representing Reform Judaism is campaigning on a strong platform of women’s rights and gender equality, religious equality for all denominations, and a two-state solution. To support this vision and vote in the WZO elections at reformjews4israel.org/vote, you must register with the American Zionist Movement. In addition:

1.    You must be Jewish;

2.    You must be 18 years or older by June 2015;

3.    You must be a resident of the United States;

4.    You must pay the registration fee of $10 ($5 if you’re under age 30).

We urge you to vote today and join us in our mission to create an Israel that is committed to equality of religion, gender, race, and ethnicity.
