Babies & Baby Namings
Allison & William Fastow and big brother Eliot celebrated the birth and naming of their son Lucas Jacob Fastow (Lior Yaakov). Lucas is also the grandson of WHC members Ellen & Joseph Fastow.
Hinda & Donald Kahn celebrated the naming of their grandson, Nathan Emmet Kahn (Natan).
Rabbi Aaron & Lauren Miller and big sister Eliana celebrated the birth of Avital “Tali” Hannah Miller.
Hannah Newmark & Benjamin Polun celebrated the birth and naming of their son, Maximus Melvin Polun (Moishe).
Engagements & Marriages
Mildred & Howard Amer celebrated the marriage of their son, Daniel Amer, to Julia Abelkop.
Lisa & Lee Baydush celebrated the marriage of their daughter, Sarah Baydush, to Garret Mann. Sarah is the granddaughter of WHC members Linda & Marshall Ackerman and Marilyn & Bill Lane.
Linda Grodin celebrated the engagement of her granddaughter, Amanda Letchinger, to Wes Olker. Amanda is the daughter of Stephanie & Jim Letchinger and the granddaughter of the late Jay Grodin.
Honors & Awards
Sydney Kamen received a 2017 Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Award for SOAP (So Others Are Protected), a self-empowerment initiative she created that addresses issues surrounding sanitation and the spread of disease in under-resourced areas of the world. Sydney is the daughter of Cynthia Putchat.
