Preserving Washington Hebrew Congregation's History

In 1856, President Franklin Pierce signed an Act of Congress incorporating WHC. Since its first planning meeting 159 years ago, our temple has played a leading role in the history of Jewish life in the District as well as in the nation. The members of the Archives Committee are dedicated to gathering, cataloging and preserving WHC’s life story and materials collection so that the tradition of Washington Hebrew can be passed down from generation to generation. Please join us in preserving our Temple's history. The committee is in need of a person with computer skills.
